‘The only thing we have to fear is fear itself’

Nice one Frankie D Roosevelt.

However, try anticipating a specialist appointment in 2 days and knowing before the Dr does, that surgery may be on the cards, again.

Fear can be very real.

How do we accept the unacceptable?

How can you avoid anxiety when you are so massively uncertain of your health?

How do you try to come to terms with the fact that the next step for you and your disease, is ultimately more surgery and a permanent ileostomy?

Pain, discomfort, humiliation, frustration – being the passenger in this ride, you didn’t want to take to begin with – and unable to jump out.

How do we take these things in stride?

Short, sharp, thoughts.

With love,

Sylvia
